On February 21, 2025, we went to an exciting journey from Rodriguez, Rizal to Antipolo, Rizal. A trip that took approximately an hour and a half. In the first place I know that this day was filled with fun and exciting things to experience awaited us.
Our first stop is the famous cathedral in Antipolo, the Antipolo Cathedral. As soon as we arrived, I was amazed by the majestic architecture of the cathedral. The cathedral is a beautiful work of art, the design was simply stunning that showed history and faith. Together with Sarah, we took a moment to pray and reflect, I felt calm inside the sacred walls, it was a beautiful experience.

After our peaceful experience to the cathedral, we headed to the Pinto Art Museum. The museum was filled with creativity, stunning artwork from amazing artists, 3D pieces and breathtaking sculptures. Each corner of the museum is the perfect spot to take a lot of good photos, it’s indeed a paradise for art lovers and photographers. The environment of Pinto Art added to the charm, making the experience more delightful.
Our journey to Antipolo continues with a delicious meal at Eagles ‘Nest Antipolo restaurant located in cloud 9 We enjoyed a big meal of Sinigang na Hipon and Sisig, both were really delicious and absolutely mouthwatering. The servings were generous, it is indeed worth the price. It was a satisfying meal that left us happily full and content.

Antipolo, located in Rizal City, is the largest municipality
in the Calabarzon region. It is renowned as the residence of the revered icon
of Nuestra SeƱora de la Paz y Buen Viaje ("Our Lady of Peace and Safe
Voyage"). The city is particularly recognized for its abundant cultural
and historical heritage. Our first stop is the famous church called Antipolo
Cathedral Church. As I wander this sophisticated church, I can’t help but feel
overwhelmed not because I am not familiar of what they were doing but amazed
because you can really see how strong their faith and is determined for it to
be granted from the person above. Students, drivers, and vendors were just a
few of people I saw during my visit there. As I observed them, I know they have
different prayers; it can be a wish, a thank you prayer, or an apology prayer,
and whatever it is, I just hope they find what their hearts need and get the
peace of mind they’ve been praying for.
After visiting the beautiful church, we then headed to the
museum called Pinto Art Museum. There’s an entrance fee worth 125 pesos, and
that’s a student price, but for regular customers, you have to pay 200 pesos. I
don’t really know what to expect to this place aside from it having a ton of
arts and sculptures but as soon as we entered the museum, we were amazed how
these arts are different and interesting. Some were funny but if you look into
deep details of it, you’ll discover it is not just a funny art that’s being
shown, you’ll see the hard work of the artist and how beautiful the details
are. Some were serious that I don’t know what to react; it’s my mouth that is
automatically open every time I see those artworks. And some were just plain
beautiful for me may be because I’ve seen a lot of those before but still it’s
beautiful and I appreciate the hard work of every artist because we got to see
their talents and also inspire some of us to make our own art. I felt a
little overwhelmed by how much there was to see, but in a good way.
Our last stop was Cloud 9. We took a tricycle from Pinto Museum going to Cloud 9 and paid 100 each. I know it is overpriced just for a fare, but I think it’s worth it as the driver was very accommodating and kind to us. I was excited on our way to Cloud 9, as it was my first time going there, and I got to see it a lot on social media. Upon arriving, I am amazed because it exceeds my expectations. It indeed has one of the best views because it is up high in the mountains, so you can really see everything miles around. Before doing any activity and taking good pictures, we decided to eat our lunch first after wandering the beautiful Cathedral of Antipolo and the breathtaking Pinto Arts Museum. The restaurant located in Cloud 9 was a bit harsh on our wallet, taking thousands of pesos just for two dishes, which are sisig and sinigang na hipon. Although it was a bit pricey, it was worth the experience and the scenic views we got to see. After lunch we took a lot of good pictures and enjoyed the view for a moment. We then paid 100 pesos each to see a small room of the museum and walked across a hanging bridge. It wasn’t a new experience for me, but this time it was a bit scary as it was high, and it wobbled a bit. The view was fantastic. I couldn’t help but enjoy the moment and felt that this time a hundred pesos was worth it. After walking across the hanging bridge, I thought I saw all of it, but I was wrong because when we reached the 360 views, it was ten times more beautiful than I expected it to be. I am blessed and happy to experience this, and this is definitely not my last.
After a day of fun in Antipolo, we headed our way home.
After an amazing experience in Antipolo, I want to explore this city more. I
know that these tourist spots that I’ve been to are just a glimpse of Antipolo.
This place has a lot to offer, and I am ready to experience it. Overall, I can
say that I will definitely go back to Antipolo and create good memories there.
This trip was so fun that it made my day so good. Experiencing those things in
just a day was one of the best days that happened in my life, and I can’t wait to
make more of it. February 21, 2025, a day of escaping urban life and experience
what life can truly mean and it’s in Antipolo.
